The Administration of the Second Chance Christian Academy is pleased to inform the general public that all of her 12th graders who sat the 2020 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) made a successful pass in at least five subjects as prescribed by the Ministry of Education, Republic of Liberia.
The school in 2020 sent thirteen students; seven males and six females to the international exams and of that number, four (science) students applied for eight subjects while the rest nine (arts) students applied for seven subjects. Of the four students who sat the science courses, three made a successful pass in seven subjects while the other passed in six subjects. At the same time, of the nine students who sat the arts subjects, one made a successful pass in all seven subjects while four passed in six and the rest four passed in five subjects respectively.
According to the principal, this was the first time the school sent students to the exams and as such, he believes “the school made a tremendous pass.” However, according to Mulbah S. Flomo, Principal of the school, since 2013 the school was bent on properly preparing these and other kids educationally to face the challenges ahead. He at the same time called on parents to assist the school in making sure that they pay special attention to the growth and development of their kids.
For his part, the valedictorian of the school, Moses D. Jallah thanked the school and parents for the level of support in ensuring that they (the students) acquire better education and admonished that the school ensure the construction of a science lab so as to assist and enable his successors in making possible pass in future test.
